Iconic guitar slingers Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck will bring their acclaimed co-headlining concert series to North America in early 2010 for at least three shows.

The mini-trek starts with a February 18 performance at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, before heading further north for gigs on February 21 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON, and February 22 at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC.

Ticket onsales begin on December 4 in Toronto and December 5 in Montreal, but New York public sales won’t start until later in the month on December 12. Ticket prices will range from a low of CA $69.50 in both Canadian cities to a high of CA $225 in Toronto and CA $179.50 in Montreal, according to local media reports.

The guitarists already announced plans to join next year for a pair of February 13 and 14 concerts at the O2 Arena in London, ENG. Neither of those dates has sold out completely, though select ticket price ranges have sold out on either night.

The February dates will be the first North American co-headlining concerts for Clapton and Beck, who often appeared in concert together, but not as co-headliners. The pair only united onstage for their first full concerts together in February 2009, when the duo performed in Japan.

Those two engagements featured Beck and Clapton playing separate sets before returning to the stage for a joint jam.

“I’ve always considered Jeff Beck to be one of the finest guitar players around. He’s a friend, a great guy, and a truly gifted musician,” Clapton said in a statement. “We had such a fun time in Japan that it seemed natural to play together again.”

Clapton was recently forced to cancel another New York appearance at the Garden. A former member of The Yardbirds and Cream, Clapton was scheduled to appear on the second night of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th anniversary concerts, but had to ax his October 30 performance as he recuperated from a minor operation.
