Continuing a tradition of launching annual summer tours, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band are adding more dates to the 2010 season’s itinerary.
Parrotheads can catch the launch of Buffett’s latest tour on April 24 at Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa, FL. Nearly 20 concerts have been announced so far, with the current calendar closing out with a September 2 and 4 stand at Jiffy Lube Live (formerly Nissan Pavilion) in Bristow, VA.
Other highlights this spring and summer include events on May 1 at Sommet Center in Nashville, TN; June 17 and 19 at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA; and August 7 and 10 at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ.
Tickets are already available for select dates of the upcoming tour. The next round of onsales will begin February 19 for an August 12 concert at First Niagara Pavilion in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as both of Buffett’s September gigs in Virginia. Ticketing information for the remainder of the currently confirmed Big Top dates are available on Buffett’s official Web site.
Buffett’s summer tour supports his 28th studio album, “Buffet Hotel,” released in December 2009. The effort peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 and snagged the top spot on the Independent Albums chart.
Before he slips on the flip-flops for his latest summer tour, Buffett has several more dates to complete on his 2009-2010 itinerary. The Summerzcool Tour, which launched in 2009, will conclude after four final shows in the southern states.
The next Summerzcool concert is coming up on February 20 at the Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL, with the final date booked for February 27 at Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, FL.
