Alt-rock outfit 311 will dominate the summer concert season with the fifth consecutive year of its Summer Unity Tour. This year’s venture features The Offspring, as well as special guest Pepper, who were also special guests during the inaugural Summer Unity Tour in 2006.

Nearly 25 dates have been rolled out for the 2010 season, including two preliminary dates in Alaska on June 18 at The Blue Loon in Fairbanks and June 19 at Moose’s Tooth in Anchorage. From there, 311 plunges back into the continental U.S. and joins up with its Summer Unity entourage for a stretch that opens June 24 at Lifestyles Community Pavilion in Columbus, OH, and ends July 25 at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA.

Also scheduled for the four-week run are performances on June 29 at Charter One Pavilion in Chicago, IL; July 7 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI; July 16 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA; and July 24 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA.

Late March presales and onsales have already started for select dates of the tour, while other concert markets are awaiting the start of onsales in April and May. A date-by-date rundown of ticketing dates and outlets is available on the official 311 Web site.

311’s seasonal tour will follow its current spring trek across the Asia-Pacific region, anchored by concert blocks in Japan and Hawaii.

The 2009 Summer Unity Tour featured Ziggy Marley and special guest The Expendables, while the 2008 Summer Unity Tour hit the road with help from Snoop Dogg and special guest Fiction Plane.
