Another year, another “American Idol” cast tour… Fans of the hit singing competition will have a chance to see Season Nine’s Top 10 contestants perform live on a summer tour of North American arenas and amphitheaters.

This season’s American Idols Live! Tour features Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban.

The trek begins July 1 at The Palace in Auburn Hills, MI, and continues for more than two months before wrapping on September 14 at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

The 49-date itinerary includes performance dates on July 11 at The Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA; August 3 at Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, FL; August 18 at Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA; August 30 at united Center in Chicago, IL; and September 10 at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY.

Just two Canadian cities are on the current Idol routing, with a July 5 show set for Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, ON, and a September 7 event at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB.

Public onsales begin May 14 in Omaha, NE, and Toldeo, OH. Remaining tour markets will open onsales May 15. A press statement did not announce individual ticket prices, but did note that a limited number of ticket four-packs will be available for lawn seating at participating amphitheaters for $75, plus any applicable fees.

For the first time since 2002, the Idol tour will be promoted by Live Nation, which is also the primary ticketing outlet for the event. Six of the seven previous Idol tours were promoted by AEG Live, while Metropolitian Entertainment helmed the inaugural year’s tour.

Since 2002, the Idol franchise grossed more than $170 million on the road and sold more than 3.3 million tickets, according to a report from Billboard that referenced the publication’s Boxscore numbers.
