Veteran rock band the Goo Goo Dolls will extend its time on the road this season with nearly 20 additional dates on the Something for the Rest of Us Tour.

The Dolls just recently launched the tour on April 6 at Rock Fore! Dough in Augusta, GA, and their next scheduled performance is April 10 at the SUNY campus in Oswego, NY. The calendar was originally booked through mid-May, but has since been pushed out through a June 12 show at the Riverdome in Bossier City, LA.

Some of the more recently revealed gig stops include May 21 at Stir Concert Cove in Council Bluffs, IA; May 29 at Snoqualmie Casino in Snoqualmie, WA; June 5 at Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, NV; and June 9 at Austin Music Hall in Austin, TX.

Various onsale dates are lined up over the coming weeks, with the next major batch of public ticket sales starting April 10. More ticketing information, as well as details about fan club presales, are available on the Goo Goo Dolls’ official Web site.

The current tour is promoting the Goo Goo Doll’s upcoming album, “Something for the Rest of Us.” Slated for a late spring release, it will be the band’s first studio record in four years, following 2006’s “Let Love In.”

The Goo Goo Dolls also supported their previous album with the Let Love In Tour, which ran from 2006 through 2007. That was the last major tour for the band prior to the launch of this year’s venture, which stands at a full 45 dates given the recent additions to the itinerary.

Though officially a trio — comprised of original members John Reznik and Robby Takac, and longtime drummer Mike Malinin — the Dolls lineup is rounded out on tour with a number of touring musicians.
