For the first time since the ill-fated summer 2009 trek, Aerosmith will tour North America. The Bad Boys of Boston announced plans to bring their Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock Tour stateside after the conclusion of their upcoming European jaunt.

The 19-date North American venture begins July 23 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA, and concludes September 4 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. Other gigs are planned for July 31 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV; August 12 at Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh, NY; and August 28 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.

Aerosmith’s calendar includes a previously announced one-off concert with J. Geils Band at Fenway Park in Boston on August 14. That hometown performance sold out within the first 23 minutes of its April 17 onsale, according to a statement on the band’s official fan club site, Aero Force One.

Though the band is promoting the late summer venture as its 2010 U.S. Tour, the itinerary does include one performance in Canada. Aerosmith will play August 17 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON. The Toronto concert, as well as 10 select U.S. performances, will feature opening support from Sammy Hagar and his backing band, The Wabos.

Initial ticket onsales for the tour begin over the June 4-6 weekend. Ticket prices range from just under $60 up to about $195 for the handful of shows currently listed on Ticketmaster.com.

Aerosmith has not toured nationally since frontman Steven Tyler fell off-stage during a concert on August 5, 2009, leading to cancelled concert dates and heavily reported bouts of in-fighting. Tempers apparently cooled over the winter, though, with Aerosmith first announcing its plans for the overseas tour in late February.

The European tour begins with a June 10 set at Sweden Rock Festival in Solvesborg, SWE, and ends about three weeks later on July 3 at the Heineken Jammin’ Festival in Venice, ITA. Aerosmith is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year
