George Strait has unveiled the latest slate of concert dates for his on-going tour with fellow country stars Reba and Lee Ann Womack. The next leg of their joint venture kicks off September 9 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH, according to Pollstar.
A total of 11 events are on the schedule, booked through an October 22 performance at Fargodome in Fargo, ND. Other stops along the way include a September 16 concert at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, SC, and an October 15 show at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, PA.
The itinerary also includes a September 11 event at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. The concert was originally booked for April 28 but was postponed as part of the tour extension, according to a notice on Strait’s official Web site. Tickets for the original date will be honored at the rescheduled September show.
An official tour statement, including fall onsale dates and ticket prices, is still forthcoming from Strait and Reba, who has officially dropped the “McEntire” from her professional nomenclature. According to Pollstar, the details will be announced soon.
The King and Queen of country last toured the nation from late January through mid-April, with Womack joining them as the tour’s opener. A single arena performance at the Alamodome on May 1 sold out, according to a report from Billboard. Ticket grosses for that single performance topped $5.1 million, while the tour as a whole has grossed $28.2 million so far.
