Paul McCartney has doubled up a couple dates on his summer 2010 Up and Coming Tour itinerary. The iconic musician will now perform extended stands on August 8-9 at Air Canada Center in Toronto, ON, and August 18-19 at the new Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
McCartney’s initial concert dates on August 8 and August 18 sold out during public onsales, which opened in both markets today, June 14. Following the quick sell-outs, the second performance dates were unveiled and instantly opened for sale.
Toronto tickets are priced from $57.25 to $250, and Pittsburgh passes run from $56.75 to $250, according to Ticketmaster.com.
The August 18 Pittsburgh show, which stands as the grand opening for the new Consol Energy Center, sold out in a matter of minutes, according to a notice on McCartney’s official Web site. Ticket presales for each concert began early last week (June 8 and 9) in the sold-out markets.
With today’s addition of the two concert dates, McCartney’s itinerary now stands at a dozen summer concerts across the United States and Canada. Sir Paul already played a spree of U.S. dates in the spring as part of his on-going Up and Coming Tour.
