Paul McCartney‘s plans for the summer Up and Coming Tour leg have expanded once again. The veteran Beatles and Wings rocker will swing through Charlotte, NC, for a July 28 concert at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
The show is the latest date to be added to his latest North American outing of the year. The tour leg kicks off July 10 at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA, and is presently booked through the official opening of Consol Energy Center on August 18 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Public ticket sales for the Charlotte event begin June 12. Face values for upper level seats begin at $42, while lower level and floor seating range from $127 to $252, according to current listings on Ticketmaster.com.
The performance will be McCartney’s first in the state since he the 1993 New World Tour, according to a statement on his official Web site. The world-renowned musician closed the North American leg of that tour with a mid-June show at the Blockbuster Pavilion (now the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre) in Charlotte.
Just last week, McCartney added five U.S. and Canadian concerts to the summer Up and Coming Tour. Public onsales for those announced shows, including the event at Pittsburgh’s new Consol Energy Center, begin June 14.
McCartney began his 2010 touring season with a brief spring tour of three U.S. cities. The 2010 Up and Coming Tour is a follow-up to the 10-date Summer Live ’09 Tour.
