Popular television dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance” will take its top contestants from 2010 on the road with a live U.S. tour at the end of the season.
Forty dates are booked for the upcoming outing, beginning September 19 at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, LA. The coast-to-coast U.S. venture will run for two solid months before wrapping November 17 at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ.
Along the way, the “Dance” cast will stop for performances on September 27 at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA; October 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New Yokr, NY; October 16 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ; October 30 at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN; and November 10 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.
Initial presales begin July 29, while tour-wide public onsales start July 30. Ticket prices range from a low of $34 to a high of $55 in most markets, according to current event listings on Ticketmaster.com.
This fall’s trek is just the latest for the televised dance competition, which was also on the road for a fall 2009 tour of the United States. That venture was also routed through about 40 markets with similarly priced tickets, and featured the season’s Top 10 dancers.
Also similar to the 2009 trek, the U.S. cast of “So You Think You Can Dance” will visit a single Canadian market — October 19 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON. The provinces have their own off-shoot of the TV dance competition, which toured Canada at the end of 2009.
