Keeping tradition alive, the Allman Brothers Band has rolled out dates for its annual residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York, NY.

At this point, eight concerts are confirmed for the New York City stand — March 10-12, 14, 15, and 17-19. But the Southern rock veterans have been known to play as many as 15 dates during their stint in the city, so a forthcoming announcement with additional dates would not be out of character for the crew.

Public ticket sales begin December 4 for all dates of the residency. Ticket prices start at $60 and range up to $150, based on Ticketmaster.com listings.

Next year’s event indicates a return to tradition for the Allman Brothers. While the Beacon Theatre is the usual host of their city engagements, their 2010 New York residency was moved to the United Palace Theatre due to a previously standing contract that the venue had with Cirque du Soleil.

It is also a momentous occasion for the veteran group, since it will be their first New York residency since Gregg Allman received a liver transplant earlier this year. In previous years, the musician’s struggle with Hepatitis C complicated the band’s touring and residency plans.

However, since Allman’s transplant, the band has been touring regularly again. The Allman Brothers Band completed a November tour of the Northeast U.S. to signal their return to the road.
