The approaching weekend brings yet another pair of public ticket sales for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. Markets with February 19 onsales are Cincinnati, OH, and Buffalo, NY.

In two recent revisions to the 2011 tour calendar, Seger and his famed band now will visit Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena on April 5 and Buffalo’s HSBC Arena on April 9. Ticket prices are $75 and $69.50 for each respective date, according to venue listings.

The legendary American rock group has slowly expanded its spring itinerary, which now features seven dates in just three states. Seger’s previously announced tour dates had hot onsales last weekend, selling out within minutes in some cases.

Seger was originally booked for one March 31 show in Toledo, but a fast sell-out there led to the addition of a second (and much earlier) performance on March 26 to accommodate demand. According to the Toledo Blade, all 7,600 tickets to the initial Toledo concert were sold within the first six minutes of the February 11 onsale. By that same afternoon, the newer March 26 date had already sold an additional 5,000 tickets, and only limited individual seats remain available on Ticketmaster.com as of February 17.

Public ticket sales were also a resounding success in the tour’s Michigan markets on February 12, as was expected of Seger’s home state. While Saginaw’s Dow Event Center took a reported 23 minutes to sell out, the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids accomplished the same feat in just eight minutes, according to published reports.

“Bob Seger is a Michigan guy; he always sells well here,” said Lynne Ike, Van Andel Arena marketing director, in an interview with the Grand Rapids Press. “We’re glad he decided to come back to West Michigan again.”

The spring 2011 tour will be the first for Seger and the Silver Bullet Band since the successful 2006-2007 jaunt for “Face the Promise.” Though a title and release date have not been confirmed, the iconic group is said to be working on a new album for this spring.
