After a successful (albeit brief) run in 2010, the cast of pop-culture powerhouse “Glee” is returning to the road. Thirteen cast members, including stars Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, will participate in a new spring 2011 tour of North America.

The latest “Glee Live! In Concert!” tour series kicks off May 21 at Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, NV, and concludes its 16-city run June 18 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY.

Scheduled stops include May 28 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA; June 6 at TD Garden in Boston, MA; and June 16 at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ. In Canada, a single show is set for June 11 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.

Public onsales start February 18 in Boston and Toronto, and continue February 19 in the remaining markets. Based on current Ticketmaster.com listings, most markets will see tickets priced from $49.50 to $89.50. One exception is Las Vegas, where prices range from $65 up to $125.

The original “Live! In Concert!” series visited only four U.S. cities — for a total of 10 concerts — during a May 2010 tour. Despite its brief run, the “Glee” tour sold briskly and appeared multiple weeks on TicketNews’ exclusive event rankings.

According to show producer and co-creator Ryan Murphy, the success of last year’s concert series persuaded the talented cast — along with newcomers Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss — to tour again in 2011.

“The cast and I were so moved by the love and enthusiasm of our fans at last year’s concerts that we knew we had to do it again,” explained Murphy in a statement. “There is something magical about thousands of ‘Gleeks’ coming together to share a special night with our cast, and this tour is one way we can thank them for their unbelievable support from the beginning.”
