Still going strong two years after its triumphant return, Phish has planned another U.S. outing to fill the summer months.
The 2011 tour kicks off with a string of Memorial Day weekend concerts on May 27-29 at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY. The 18-date itinerary stretches out from there, and presently concludes with a June 19 show at nTelos Wireless Pavilion in Portsmouth, VA.
On top of the tour’s opening stretch, multi-night stands are also booked for May 31-June 1 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ; June 11-12 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD; and June 14-15 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA.
As usual, Phish will accept ticket requests from now through March 4 through its online ticketing system. Once the limited allotment of tickets is distributed via lottery, public onsales begin March 11 and 12. Ticket prices range from $45 to $60, before fees, according to the band’s site.
The jam band reportedly has more summer dates up its sleeve, which will be announced later in the season. But a statement on Phish’s official Web site notes that after it concludes the summer slate, “the band has no touring plans for the remainder of the year.”
After a five-year hiatus, Phish dove into its 2009 reunion tour with a series of spring concerts in Hampton, VA. That relaunch was followed by summer 2009 and fall 2009 tour legs, as well as summer 2010 and fall 2010 concerts.
