Following the recent releases of his autobiography and new album, Latin music star Ricky Martin is preparing for his first North American road trip in four years — the Música + Alma + Sexo Tour.

Over the course of his spring 2011 trek, Martin will complete 22 concerts in 19 cities, beginning with three consecutive nights (March 25-27) at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, PR.

From the island territory, Martin launches the first of his continental concerts on April 8 at Amway Center in Orlando, FL. The opening leg of the U.S. and Canadian venture wraps May 8 at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, CA, though more dates are expected later in the year.

Other tour stops include April 12 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC; April 19 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL; April 30 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV; and May 6-7 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

The first round of public onsales starts February 4 and 5, with more box offices opening the following week on February 11. Ticket prices vary slightly depending on the market, but most face values are set within the $30 to $130 pre-fee range, based on current Ticketmaster.com listings.

Martin’s last toured in 2007 for his Black & White Tour, which launched with a block of four shows in his native San Juan in February of that year, later completing 17 dates in the United States and Canada from April through May. In August, Martin returned to Puerto Rico for two more concerts and the end of the brief tour.

His upcoming trek shares its name with Martin’s first studio record in six years, “Música + Alma + Sexo.” Also identified by its acronym “MAS” (Spanish for “more”), the record’s North American release is today, February 1. Martin’s last studio effort was 2005’s “Life,” though he has released several live and compilation albums since then.

More details about the “MAS” tour and album are available on Martin’s official Web site.
