Pop and R&B bad girl Rihanna has fresh plans for a North American tour. Only seven concerts have been revealed so far, but more dates are expected in the coming weeks.
The domestic leg of the Loud Tour kicks off June 4 at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD, and presently has shows set through July 23 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Other scheduled stops include a June 28 performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, and a July 21 gig at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ. One Canadian concert has also been unveiled on June 7 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.
Public ticket sales for the announced U.S. dates begin on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Toronto tickets will be available starting February 16. Prices vary widely, though most markets start around the $20 mark, according to Ticketmaster.com. But while some cities have a top ticket around $99, others have prices reaching up to $250.
Rihanna toured the nation last summer for her Last Girl on Earth Tour with Ke$ha. However, slow sales for the 25-date tour resulted in multiple concert cancellations and venue down-grades.
The Barbadian singer released her most recent studio effort, “Loud,” in November 2010. Since its release, the album has peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and produced No. 1 singles with “What’s My Name?” and “Only Girl (In the World).”
