Progressive rock mainstay Yes is continuing its hefty touring schedule in 2011 with another round of U.S. concert dates.
The Rite of Spring Tour will start March 6 at the House of Blues in Houston, TX, with gigs booked through April 4 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC. The calendar features 16 dates so far, including shows on March 9 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA; March 18 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL; and April 1 at the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH.
Public onsales opened February 5 for the first two tour dates, but most other markets have onsales starting today and tomorrow, February 11-12. Complete details are available on Yes’ official Web site.
Ticket prices depend on the market, with Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com currently listing some face values as low as $35. In other markets, prices are closer to the $50 or $100 range.
Since 2008, Yes has been touring without vocalist Jon Anderson, who had some health complications at the time, instead opting to replace Anderson with Yes tribute band singer Benoit David.
The new lineup has been fairly successful since then. Yes has completed several tour legs on its own, as well as co-headlining bills with Asia in summer 2009 and Peter Frampton in summer 2010.
