This summer, audiences will have the ticket to a mash-up of hard rock and glam as Mötley Crüe, Poison and New York Dolls prepare to tour North America together.
The groups have prepared a nearly 40-city itinerary that opens June 7 at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, TX. Dates are booked across the United States — with only a brief foray into Canada — through an August 5 performance at Fort McCoy in Wisconsin.
Other U.S. stops for the tour include June 15 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA; June 25 at Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI; July 10 at the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA; and July 23 at the Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, NY.
Elsewhere on the schedule, a venue has yet to be confirmed for the bands’ June 18 date in Las Vegas, NV. And just one gig is slated for Canada at the moment: June 28 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON.
A tour press release marks March 11 as the start of fan club presales, followed by the first public onsales on March 18. Ticket prices for the three-band jaunt have not yet been announced. More details will be posted on Mötley Crüe ‘s official Web site, as available.
This is a milestone year for each group on the summer 2011 tour billing. Mötley Crüe celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, while Poison and New York Dolls are respectively entering their 25th and 40th years in the business.
