Velvet-voiced singer Stevie Nicks has locked in plans for a solo U.S. tour to promote her first new album in a decade and follow a successful co-headlining run earlier this year.
The rock chanteuse has confirmed 10 events so far, beginning with an August 9 concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Nicks will stay on the road for at least another month, with her present calendar closing September 4 at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY.
Stops in between include August 13 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX; August 29 at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, MA; and September 3 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA.
Presales have already opened in select tour cities, and initial public onsales start today, June 17, in Saratoga Springs and June 20 in Morrison. Remaining onsales will start the June 24.
According to Ticketmaster.com listings, ticket face values start around $35 in most markets and top out around $125. A few of the later concert dates have low-end ticket prices closer to $20, while the current credit card presales include $250 preferred seats in other cities.
Nicks recently released “In Your Dreams,” her first studio album since 2001’s “Trouble in Shangri-La.” Since its May 3 street date, “Dreams” has reached a No. 6 peak on the Billboard 200.
Before releasing her new material, Nicks primed American audiences by hitting the road with a fellow rock icon. The Heart & Soul Tour with Rod Stewart visited a dozen North American markets from March through April, spending several of those weeks near the top of TicketNews’ exclusive weekly concert rankings.
