Since announcing his initial plans for the Back to Bass Tour last week, music icon Sting has expanded his itinerary by nearly 10 dates.

Most of the additions come in the form of additional nights in previously booked markets. Locales now hosting two-night stands are Boston (October 21-22); Upper Darby (October 26-27); Washington, DC (October 29-30); Toronto (November 1-2); Miami Beach (November 12-13); and Vancouver (December 8-9).

Elsewhere, Sting has extended his stay in Los Angeles to three nights (November 28-30) at the Wiltern, and added a new destination to his itinerary in the form of an October 24 performance at The Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT.

Tickets went on sale — and sold out, according to Sting’s official Web site — in several tour markets a week ago on September 19. The tour’s remaining ticket sales — including for the newest date additions — are happening today, September 26.

According to listings on Ticketmaster.com, regular ticket prices are largely set between $45 and $155, though individual prices vary from city to city. Ticket buyers also have the option of $275 or $300 VIP ticket packages through premium seller ILoveAllAccess.com.

After his recent tour with the Royal Philharmonic, Sting’s upcoming venture will be a much more intimate and stripped-down production. Backed by a minimal five-person band, the former Police frontman will play his signature instrument (thus the “Back to Bass” tour title).
