Kelly Clarkson sets ‘Stronger’ tour dates for 2012 

Kelly Clarkson’s most immediate concert plans involve a series of holiday “Jingle Ball” concerts across the United States. But come the New Year, the original American Idol will have a new tour, as well.

The Stronger Tour 2012 launches January 13 at Foxwoods’ MGM Grand in Mashantucket, CT. After eventually expanding to 40-plus dates, Clarkson’s itinerary will conclude April 10 at Valley View Casino Center in San Jose, CA.

Additional dates on the 2012 outing include January 21 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY; February 10 at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, TX; March 6 at the John Labatt Centre in London, ON; and April 3 at Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

Initial onsales start in select cities this Friday, November 18, following an earlier round of fan club presales.

While most tickets will carry face values around $30 to $75, according to Ticketmaster.com, select markets are set slightly higher. Tickets to Clarkson’s New York City show run $39.50 to $129.50 on the primary seller’s site, while her Las Vegas ducats run a heftier $69 to $154.

Clarkson is touring behind the October release of her fifth studio album, also titled “Stronger.” The 2012 routing marks the singer’s first U.S. tour dates since wrapping the national leg of her All I Ever Wanted Tour in late 2009.

Singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson will support most dates of the tour, except stops in Mashantucket, Orlando and Niagara Falls. More details are available on Clarkson’s official Web site.
