If you haven’t quite finalized your New Year’s Eve plans, there is still time to snag tickets to one of the many concerts happening across the country.
New York City has several high profile shows occurring December 31. First up, Phish has several shows at Madison Square Garden over the holiday weekend, including a special New Year’s Eve show. This marks the second consecutive year that Phish will ring in the New Year at Madison Square Garden; the jam band icons also played a 2010-2011 run at the arena.
Los Lobos also will greet 2012 on stage in New York City. The Grammy-winning rockers will be performing two shows at the City Winery, first taking the stage for a 7:30 p.m. set and then returning for a later 11 p.m. performance.
Miami offers a weekend music festival to ring in the New Year, called the Orange Drive Miami Beach Music Festival. The event kicks off today, December 30, and runs through January 1. It will be headlined by Cee Lo Green, and it will feature performances from Pete Wentz, Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri, and celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson.
In Chicago, Illinois natives Alkaline Trio have a New Year’s Eve concert at the Metro, where doors open at 9 p.m. Elsewhere in the Windy City, rapper Lil’ Jon will spin a DJ set at the Rosemont Ballroom for the venue’s Chicago NYE Ball, which runs from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.
Out west, Las Vegas has several events of note for New Year’s, including a performance by Celine Dion. Her performance is part of her on-going residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where she is returning from a brief hiatus.
Continuing the Las Vegas concerts, rapper/R&B singer IYAZ will be performing at the Mirage. Additionally, the Luxor has a concert from B.o.B, and John Legend is performing at the Palms, and Bruno Mars is set to play the Bellagio.
Furthur, the side project of Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, is scheduled to play at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA, while the Beach Boys will perform at Thunder Valley Casino’s Pano Hall in Lincoln, CA,.
