Following the pattern set in past weeks, Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed another batch of U.S. concert dates with onsales scheduled for the coming weekend.
As expected, a few dates in the band’s native California are among the concert confirmations. These local tour stops are slated for February 17 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, February 26 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and February 29 at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego.
The California dates are newly confirmed, but not entirely unexpected. Dates for Los Angeles and San Diego were leaked early on Ticketmaster.com; those listings later were removed and only restored once the band had confirmed the dates.
Also new to the Chili Peppers’ confirmed calendar are events on March 2 at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ, and March 4 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO.
Based on updated Ticketmaster.com event listings, public onsales begin December 16 in Oakland and Los Angeles with face values of $39.50–$59.50 in each market. Remaining public onsales follow on December 17 in San Diego ($39.50–$59.50), Glendale ($35.50–$55.50), and Denver ($43.50–$63.50).
The five new dates join a 21-date itinerary that presently is booked from January 20 in Sunrise, FL, through March 16 in North Little Rock, AR.
Since RHCP’s initial tour announcement in late November, the band has made weekly concert announcements to herald that weekend’s onsales. But with scheduling gaps remaining and more U.S. tour dates no doubt on the way, the tour’s duration is subject to change.
The 2012 I’m With You Tour is RHCP’s first full-length U.S. outing in almost five years. More details are available on the band’s official Web site.
