Following confirmation of its headlining stint at Coachella 2012, British rock group Radiohead has announced additional U.S. tour dates.

The itinerary, which previously focused on southern markets, gets a West Coast infusion with the latest batch of dates. Shows have been confirmed for April 9 in Seattle, WA; April 11 in San Jose, CA; and April 12 in Santa Barbara, CA.

Public onsales start January 14 in Seattle and San Jose, where pre-fee ticket prices are $66.50 on Ticketmaster.com. Santa Barbara onsales follow on January 21 with prices ranging from $70 to $75, according to the venue’s Web site.

Radiohead also will headline both Saturdays (April 14 and 21) of Coachella’s new two-weekend festival schedule. In between those weekend sets, the band will swoop south of the border for a pair of shows in Mexico City, Mexico, on April 17-18.

However, a scheduling gap still exists between Radiohead’s previously announced U.S. dates in March and the newer West Coast dates. More U.S. concerts are expected to fill this empty stretch and take the band through the East Coast and Midwest markets missing from the present itinerary.

The news of more dates comes just days after Radiohead was confirmed as a Coachella headliner, but more than two months after the band’s initial U.S. tour announcement in November.

Initial public ticket sales began in mid-November for the 10 concert dates that were confirmed at the time. According to Radiohead’s official Web site, all dates have since sold out.

These early 2012 concerts mark the start of what is expected to be a lengthy U.S. tour. In October 2011, band guitarist Ed O’Brien told the BBC, “We’ll be on the road from the end of February to November, and we’ll be playing in both the UK and U.S., the usual ports of call.”

The tour’s setlist, which was previewed during two intimate NYC shows in September, will draw largely from Radiohead’s 2011 album, “The King of Limbs.”
