Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, PA will be the home of a new music festival called Summer Mixtape Fest 2012. The festival is a two day show that features two stages. The festival is scheduled to start on August 17 and wrap up on August 18, 2012. The tour features such acts as Kelly Clarkson, The Fray, 98 Degrees, LL Cool J, New Kids on the Block, and Carla Rae Jepsen.

On August 17 fans can see Kelly Clarkson, The Fray, New Kids on the Block, DJ Pauly D, Steel Panther, and Carolina Liar. The ex-American Idol champion, Kelly Clarkson, is still riding the wave of success of her fifth studio album “Stronger.” The album is nearing platinum status due to the success of her hit singles “Mr. Know It All” and “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger).”

The Fray, who is currently touring the country along with Kelly Clarkson, released a new album in February 2012 called “Scars and Stories.” It produced two singles, “Heartbeat” and “Run for Your Life.”

New Kids on the Block also joins the festival following a very successful reunion tour and a joint tour with Backstreet Boys. The group released their last CD “The Block” in 2008 after a fourteen year hiatus. They also released a joint album with the Backstreet boys in 2011.

DJ Pauly D, best known for his role on the television show Jersey Shore, will also be at the festival. He recently signed a three album deal with G-Unit Records on by rap mogul 50 Cent.

The August 18 acts are New Kids on the Block joined by their co-album collaborators Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, LL Cool J, The Wanted, The Dan Band, The Ready Set, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

98 Degrees will hit the stage after not putting out any material since their 2002 compilation album. The group had three successful studio albums and a Christmas album. They are best known for the hit singles “Invisible Man,” “Because of You,” “The Hardest Thing,” “Give Me Just One Night,” and “My Everything.”

LL Cool J, who is just as well known for his television and movie roles than music ventures, will take the stage on August 18 as well. Having one of the longest running careers in hip-hop, LL has been pumping out hits since 1985. He has many hit singles such as “I Need Love,” “I Can’t Live Without My Radio,” “Mama Said Knock You Out,” “Hey Lover,” and “Luv U Better.” He currently stars as Special Agent Sam Hanna on the television show NCIS: Los Angeles.

Newcomer Carly Rae Jepsen has dominated the summer of 2012 with her smash single “Call Me Maybe” on her EP “Curiosity.” She is also an opening act on Justin Bieber’s Believe tour.

VIP tickets are sold out for this event, but single day passes range from $45 to $95 and two day passes range from $99 to $120.
