Ticket Summit®, the leading conference and trade show for the ticketing and live entertainment industry, recently held its 2012 summer conference at Bellagio Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The three-day event featured panel sessions, roundtables, workshops, Keynote sessions, and a wide variety of networking opportunities.

The conference began on Wednesday, July 11 with two workshops. The first, Innovative Technologies, provided insight into boosting sales through mobile technology and online chat. The second, Ticket Trading in the Global Market, featured Christopher Willis (Seatwave), an expert in the global ticket market. The evening concluded with a Networking Cocktail Party to officially kick off the conference, and provided attendees with the opportunity to network with speakers, exhibitors, and each other.

Thursday’s schedule included two sessions in the morning and two in the afternoon. In the morning, experts from venues, ticketing companies, and fan clubs discussed the State of the Box Office. SEO and online marketing experts provided tips for building a customer base in the Get Smart About SEO roundtable.

The afternoon began with a Keynote session featuring Catherine Cortez Masto, Nevada Attorney General. Later, Make it a Bundle! featured speakers such as Lisa Crawford (SitInMySeats), Brandon Gayle (Groupon), and Steven Striker (Striker VIP) in which they discussed ticket bundling opportunities for VIP clientele; concurrently, the roundtable session Sports Meet covered the latest in sports teams and venue management.

Friday’s schedule included the Hang out with Google! workshop, in which Mike Lorenc (Google) provided a live demo of the latest in advertising technology. Concurrently, a panel of legal experts discussed the latest issues facing the ticketing industry.

On Friday afternoon, networking expert Thom Singer gave the closing Keynote session, in which he discussed the power of business relationships. Scott Boding of CyberSource presented a workshop on How to Prevent Online Fraud. Lastly, a group of industry veterans led a roundtable discussion on Becoming a Better Broker.

The concurrent trade show ran throughout the duration of the conference. More than 30 exhibitors participated, including BASE Entertainment, Fan Freedom Project, Mobile Ticket App, ScoreBig, Transaction Services, and many others.

The conference concluded with its signature Closing Gala, held at The Bank nightclub within Bellagio on the evening of Friday, July 13.
