The world-famous pop singer, Lady Gaga, announced several dates for her tour in North America via Twitter on September 5, sending her “Little Monster” fans into an uproar. The singer is so far scheduled to play 23 shows throughout the United States and 3 in Canada.

Lady Gaga’s previous tour, Monster Ball, was “the biggest tour ever by a debut headlining artist,” according to Billboard, and was a huge success, grossing $227.4 million over 200 shows in front of 2.5 million people. This year, the Born This Way Ball, promoted primarily by Live Nation Global, is shaping up to be another blockbuster for the singer.

The tour started on April 27, 2012, and has sold out of tickets for every show thus far. The first performance was held in Seoul, South Korea, and Lady Gaga played several shows throughout Asia and Australia before heading to Europe where she is currently performing. The singer will continue to Latin America and Africa later in the year, then back to Norway and Russia before the North American leg kicks off in January.

The North American installment of the Born This Way Ball Tour is set to begin on January 11, 2013 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. Lady Gaga will then travel south along on the American Pacific coast, playing shows in Washington, California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas before traveling north through the Midwestern states and back into Canada for shows in Toronto and Montreal.

After the shows in Canada, the tour will travel to Chicago and Detroit before heading to the eastern coast of the U.S., including two stops in New York–Madison Square Garden and the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The final announced date for the tour in North America is March 16 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL. In her tweet on September 5, Lady Gaga mentioned that the dates were the “1st installment of the US/Canada tour” so more shows are likely to be announced later.

Tickets for the North American Born This Way Ball Tour are not on sale at this time. After announcing the dates via Twitter, the singer later sent a message stating “way to go monsters! the ticketmaster telephones are still ringing off the hook! Check back for sales on sept. 18th.” While this could be a hint to the date that tickets go on sale, no official announcement has been made.

Lady Gaga also recently announced her upcoming album “ARTPOP” via twitter and her website, littlemonsters.com, stating that the it is “not just an ALBUM it’s a PROJECT.” “ARTPOP” will be “a multimedia experience that comes in different forms…as an IPAD, iPhone, mobile and computer compatible application…that is completely interactive” with chats, games, and magazines. The singer also said that the album would be released in ordinary physical and digital formats that would be “unique and different to the app” for those without an iPad. An official release date for the newest album has yet to be announced, but in her message on the website Lady Gaga alludes to the holiday season.
