Electronic dance music fans will dance into 2013 at the Lights All Night event on New Year’s Eve in Dallas, TX. Lights All Night announced their stellar lineup on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. The headliners include: Tiesto, Avicii, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, Axwell, and Ghostland Observatory. The supporting DJs include: Griz, Zedd, Diplo, Feed Me, Adventure Club, Break Science, and Nero among many more.

This will be the fifth year Lights All Night has celebrated New Year’s Eve in Texas, and it continues to grow bigger and bigger every year. Back in August TicketNews reported on the festival’s expansion from two nights to three. The added night allows for more DJs. Despite the major names already announced,Lights All Night is not done yet. There is still a second phase of the lineup that will be revealed soon. In addition to the musical acts, attendees can also expect to see dazzling lightshows, art installations, and live dancers aiding in the celebration.

Last year the event had over 30,000 fans at the Dallas Convention Center, according to HighlandEntertainment.net. Since the event is expected to surpass last year’s totals, Lights All Night is relocating and will now be held at Fair Park, which offers up 277 acres for the three stage locations.

Kicking things off on December 29 are Tiësto and Avicii. Tiësto is one of the most famous trance DJs in the world, and according to his website he was crowned ‘The Greatest DJ of All Time’ by Mixmag in 2011. Before spinning at Lights All Night Tiësto will be taking part in the “largest single DJ event in U.S. history” on October 8 at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.

Swedish DJ Avicii has quickly moved up the ranks in the EDM world at the age of 23. His biggest hit “Levels” reached number 60 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Avicii has a fall tour lined up with 26 performances scheduled through November.

On the second night the top two DJs are Bassnectar and Calvin Harris. Bassnectar is best known for his light shows and his music is known for extreme bass, dubstep, and breakbeat sets shifting in tempo from soft to hard and back again.

Calvin Harris has become a household name after pairing up with artists Rihanna, Ne-Yo, and most recently Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine. Harris is set to release his third studio album “18 Months” on October 30, according to Billboard.com.

Lights All Night attendees will ring in the New Year with day 3 headliners Ghostland Observatory and Axwell. Ghostland Observatory is known for their unique fusions of rock, funk, and electronic dance music. Last year was Lights All Night’s most successful year, according to MCP Presents, and this year’s event expects to build upon the momentum. The early bird discounted tickets have already sold out. Tickets sold out well in advance in previous years, according to Lightsallnight.com. However, there are still three day general admission tickets, VIP, and Platinum VIP tickets left for grabs.

In its short history Lights All Night has become a staple in the EDM festival world with no signs of losing steam. It was recently announced the festival will be expanding to Australia for 2013.
