British singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding recently announced that she would be heading to the United States in early 2013 for her North American Halcyon Days tour. Goulding is an electronic dance music performer, whose current hit “Lights” is making a name for her on charts across the world.

The Halcyon Days tour will stretch just under a month and is planned to kick off on January 16 in Miami, Florida at The Fillmore. Goulding will travel across the United States and into Canada before concluding her tour on February 12 at The Palladium in Los Angeles, California. Notable stops along the fast-paced journey include Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on January 17, The House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts on January 23, The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois on January 29 and The Depot in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 2.

The Halcyon Days tour is in support of Goulding’s second album. Halcyon was released earlier this year, debuting at number two on the UK Albums Chart and at number nine on Billboard 200 in the United States. The album follows Lights, Goulding’s first album which was released in 2010 and debuted at number one.

According to MTV, Goulding is extremely excited to get the tour underway. The 25-year-old artist explained that her favorite part of her career is touring and playing shows.

Goulding is currently dating another popular electronic dance music artist, Skillrex. “I feel like everyone’s really fascinated by my love life for some reason. I think it’s because I write so explicitly about stuff. It’s just how I’ve always been, really, with lyrics and being really honest,” she told MTV. “I get girls writing to me saying I’ve really helped them through stuff, and it makes me feel incredible. You know, serious, heavy stuff. And that, to me, I feel is one of my biggest achievements.”

A song featuring Goulding and Skillrex is expected to be included on the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 soundtrack.

Before heading out on tour, you can catch Goulding performing at large holiday concert events in California, Minnesota and Arizona this December. Fans can expect to hear songs from both of Goulding’s albums. Tickets are available for purchase by the general public beginning Friday, October 26. There is no word yet as to who will be joining Goulding on tour.
