Earlier this week, pop-rock band Maroon 5 announced dates for a 2013 North American tour. The 31-date tour is planned to kick off on February 13, and circle around the United States and into Canada before wrapping up on April 6.

“This is our biggest tour yet,” lead singer Adam Levine said in a video message the band posted via a link on their twitter the day the tour was announced. “Anybody who has seen a Maroon 5 show, even those people are going to be blown away by what we’re doing now because we really feel this calling to put on the best show we’ve ever put on…We feel like we’ve had this resurgence, this kind of second life where we’re pushing ourselves that much harder now to make the best concert experience… it’s certainly going to be something we want the whole world to see.”

Maroon 5 will begin the tour at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. Along the way the band will make stops at many large and popular venues including Madison Square Garden in New York, New York on February 16; Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on February 22; The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on March 15; the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 16; the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on March 24; and the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida on April 1. The tour will come to an end on April 6 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

The 2013 tour will support the band’s forth full-length studio album, Overexposed. The album was released in June, and has already had two hit singles, “One More Night” and “Payphone.” While making the announcement for their 2013 tour, Maroon 5 also announced that next single from the album will be “Daylight.” The song is expected to hit the radio early this November.

Maroon 5 gained popularity in 2002 with the release of their first album, Songs About Jane. The album included well-known hits such as “Harder to Breathe,” “Sunday Morning” and “She Will Be Loved.” The album was followed by It Won’t Be Soon Before Long in 2007 and Hands All Over in 2010.

Before heading out for the 2013 tour, you can catch the group performing the new single on television on November 8. The members of the group will be making an appearance on front man Adam Levine’s popular television show, “The Voice.” In addition, the group will also be performing at “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!” alongside many of today’s popular music artists.

Joining Maroon 5 on tour will be special guests Neon Trees and Owl City. The tour is highly anticipated, as Maroon 5 has been unable to tour recently due to lead singer Adam Levine’s commitments filming “The Voice.” The third season of the show is currently airing on NBC, and the fourth season is already underway, expected to air during the spring of 2013.
