New York City’s Z100 will host some of the biggest names in music for the 2012 Jingle Ball including One Direction, Justin Bieber , and Taylor Swift among others. The concert is set to take place December 7 in the heart of Manhattan at Madison Square Garden.

Z100 is known for putting together a star-studded lineup for its annual event. The 2010 Jingle Ball was headlined by Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, B.o.B, and Bruno Mars while last 2011’s event was lead by Lady Gaga, Pitbull, and Kelly Clarkson.

The 2012 lineup stays true to the past model bringing together some of the biggest names in the business as well as new artists who are currently making a name for themselves. Joining One Direction, Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift on stage at Jingle Ball will be Ne-Yo, fun., B.o.B, Ed Sheeran, The Wanted, Jason Mraz, and Olly Murs.

One Direction may be the most sought after act presently. The band’s 2012 tour sold out within hours leading to plans for a 2013 world tour to be announced shortly thereafter on April 12, 2012. Directioners were quick to snatch up those tickets as well despite the dates being a year away. One Direction is set to release their sophomore album Take You Home on November 13 and are sure to perform some of their upcoming hits for the Jingle Ball crowd. Prior to performing at Jingle Ball One Direction will kick off their sold out World Tour with two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on November 30 and December 1 and a performance at Madison Square Garden on December 3.

One Direction isn’t the only successful U.K. crossover taking part in Jingle Ball this year. Fellow boy band The Wanted has introduced the United States to their dance infused pop tracks lead by their breakout singles “Glad You Came” and “Chasing The Sun.” Similar to One Direction, Olly Murs gained exposure from the U.K. talent competition the X Factor. He has released the single “Heart Skips A Beat” and most recently the lead single “Troublemaker” featuring Flo Rida from his upcoming album Right Place Right Time.

U.K. Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran’s popularity is gaining steam as well, his album + lead by the single “The A Team” debuted at No. 5 on Billboard 200. Sheeran is also featured on fellow Jingle Ball performer Taylor Swift’s new album Red, it is likely that the two will take this opportunity to perform “Everything Has Changed” for fans before Sheeran heads out on his 2013 headlining tour.

Jingle Ball 2012 offers up a perfectly blended concert spanning pop, folk, country, rock, and R&B. According to Billboard.com, presale tickets for the event were released to members of the Z100 “ZVIP” members on Monday, October 22, while the general onsale is scheduled for October 23 at 4 p.m.

Event management is well aware of the demand for tickets even offering up “The Worst Seats in the House,” seats located behind the stage with completely obstructed views. While most events avoid selling tickets for these locations the “Worst Seats” are being promoted as “a discounted way to experience the amazing energy of Z100’s Jingle Ball!” on Ticketmaster.

A visit to Z100.com this morning reveailed a banner announcing that Jingle Ball 2012 has already sold-out before the public onsale. With tickets sold out fans who were unable to partake in the presale will be left scouring the secondary ticket market for tickets or trying their luck at winning tickets from the station itself. Expect ticket prices to skyrocket as this is likely be the only chance to see this talented group of artists together on one stage.
