Former Broadway star Sarah Brightman is about to embark on another solo journey. She will kick off her 2013 world tour, Dreamchaser, with a North American leg beginning on January 29 in Ontario, Canada. This portion of the tour will wrap up in Phoenix, AZ on March 31.
Brightman starts the tour with a performance at the Copps Coliseum, in Hamilton, Ontario on January 29, 2013. In total, there will be 37 shows that are part of the two month tour. Brightman will visit popular venues such as the Boston Opera House in Boston, MA, Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, and Scotiabank Saddledome in Alberta, Canada, among others. According to her official website, there will be more international dates announced for the Dreamchaser tour, which will reach 5 different continents in 2013.
Brightman, who starred as “Christine Daae” in the original production of “Phantom of the Opera” on Broadway is now taking on a solo album and tour, according to Broadway.com. Her new album, also titled Dreamchaser, is due to be released on January 22, 2012. To promote the new album, she has also released her single “Angel” for fans to download in anticipation of the album release. Dreamchaser will be Brightman’s eleventh studio album.
Brightman got her start with her role in the television dance show, Hot Gossip. From there she went on to star in her first musical “Cats.” She performed in several other musicals, including “Nightingale,” “The Merry Widow,” and “Aspects of Love.”
She got her start in the music industry back in 1988 with the release of The Trees They Grow So High. Brightman’s rise to stardom came with the release of her 1997 album Time to Say Goodbye. The album was largely supported by the single of the same name, a duet with famous opera singer Andrea Bocelli. She released several additional albums including Eden, La Luna, Harem, and Symphony.
In addition to her studio albums, Brightman has also released six albums with ex-husband Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as three compilation albums. In all she has had twelve albums make the Billboard 200 chart. She has sold a total off 30 million units world-wide, according to Broadway.com. In addition, in 40 countries, she has received over 180 gold and platinum awards.
Brightman last toured America and Asia back in 2008 and 2009 on The Symphony World Tour. After four years fans will be delighted to have a chance to witness her perform classics as well as sing songs of Dreamchaser, which comes out just a week prior to the tour kickoff.

According to Brightman’s website, presale tickets for the North American Dreamchaser tour began on October 9 and run through October 11 to her fan community. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public Monday, October 15. VIP experience tickets are will also be available, which offer “some of the best seats at every venue, autographed album, luxury hospitality, collectors’ edition merchandise, and a unique prize draw.”
