Popular Colombian musician Juanes recently announced his upcoming North American tour. The artist plans to visit venues across the United States and Canada beginning in late May of 2013, and continuing through June 21 on his 2013 Loud and Unplugged Tour.

Currently, five official tour dates and venues have been released. So far, Juanes is expected to kick the tour off on May 26 at Humphrey’s Concerts By The Bay in San Diego California. Throughout June, he plans to visit the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie in Texas on June 6; Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario on June 15; and the Metropolis in Montreal, Quebec on June 16. The tour is expected to wrap up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Trocadero Theatre on June 21.

More is expected to come in the near future from Juanes. According to Pollstar, Juanes’ public relations representatives promised additional dates should be “announced shortly for expected performances in Atlanta, Bakersfield, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, McAllen, New York, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose and Washington.”

“The Loud and Unplugged concerts will echo the intimate yet celebratory tone of the record, on which Juanes is joined by his Latin roots rock band, and guests including tropical music star Juan Luis Guerra, who produced the album, and legendary Spanish balladeer Joaquin Sabina,” explains Billboard.

Leading up to the tour, Juanes will be keeping busy. Just this week, he performed at the Latin Grammy Awards at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. On November 24, Juanes will be playing a benefit show in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center. All proceeds will be donated directly to the American Red Cross to help with relief from Hurricane Sandy. He will then wrap up the year with a tour through his native Colombia.

The Latin artist recently gained interest from the public eye in the United States with the release of his live MTV Unplugged album. The album hit shelves on May 29 of this year, and quickly earned popularity.

Juanes tickets for the announced tour dates were released to the general public on Friday, November 16.
