Country music star Keith Urban has announced his 2013 summer tour in North America. The tour will kick off in Ohio on July 18. It will wrap up on October 5 in Florida.

Currently, next year’s summer tour will consist of 25 show dates. The tour begins at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH on July 18 and it will wrap up at Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL on October 5, according to Keith Urban’s official website. He will also play venues such as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Encore Park in Alpharetta, GA on July 27 and the Comcast Centre in Mansfield, MA on August 10.

The examiner.com explains that Keith Urban will release additional tour dates as what has already been announced is only the first part of his tour. “I like a lot of time to sell,” explains David English, the Operations Manager of Universal Events. “Time is very important.”

Before Urban kicks off his North American tour next summer, the New Zealand native will perform at a series of shows in Australia, where he was raised. He will be performing in Brisbane from January 25 to 27; Sydney on January 30 and 31; and in Melbourne on February 2 and 3; according to CMT. In addition, Urban will perform in Minnesota at the “WE Fest” on August 2, CMT further states.

Keith Urban will also be a part of the upcoming season of American Idol as a judge. The new season will premiere on January 16, according to the Huffington Post. In addition to long-time host Ryan Seacrest, Urban will be joined by Randy Jackson as well as Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

His most recent album was released this past year on May 11 in Australia, according to his official website. This album, “The Story So Far,” has a total of 19 tracks and is a compilation of some of Urban’s most popular songs including “Sweet Thing” and “Days Go By.” In addition to some of the popular hits that will be included on the album, he has also included eight additional songs.

Throughout the tour next summer, Urban will be joined by the band Little Big Town and artist Dustin Lynch. Little Big Town released their most recent album on September 10 of 2012. It includes their single “Pontoon,” for which they won “Single of the Year” at the Country Music Association Awards on November 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They also won the “Vocal Group of the Year” at the awards ceremony.

Dustin Lynch released his self-titled debut album on August 21, 2012. His debut single “Cowboys and Angels” was included on the album. The single was not only one of the top songs on the Billboard charts; it also sold more than 500,000 copies. The entire album reached the No. 1 spot on the Top Country Albums chart, according to The Boot.
