Matchbox Twenty has announced their upcoming 2013 tour — North. The tour will kick off in early next year on January 29 in Oklahoma. It will wrap up in California on March 30.

39 concerts dates are part of the tour, according to the Examiner. The tour will begin on January 29 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa in Catoosa, OK. It will wrap up in Indio, CA at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino & Special Events Center on March 30. Concerts that are a part of the tour include the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ on February 23, according to the Examiner, and Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT on March 8.

The tour will feature Matchbox Twenty’s recent album North. The album was released on September 4, 2012. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States. The song “She’s So Mean,” is Matchbox Twenty’s first hit off of North. According to Billboard.com, the song was the 13th song of Matchbox Twenty’s to reach the Top 10 on the Adult Pop Songs chart.

In 1996, Matchbox Twenty released their debut album, “Yourself Or Someone Like You.” 12 million copies of the albums were sold, according to their official website. There were multiple songs on the album that that reached the Billboard Top 40. These songs include: “3 a.m.,” “Push,” and “Real World.” They released their second album More Than You Think You Are on November 19 of 2002. It included their single “Unwell.” According to Billboard.com, More Than You Think You Are debuted and peaked at No. 6 on the chart. It sold 178,000 albums.

After the release of their second album, the lead singer of the band, Rob Thomas, released his first solo album. The album Something To Be was released on April 5 of 2005, according to his official website. He returned to Matchbox Twenty for the release of their third album Exile On Mainstream. The album was a collection of greatest hits. Exile On Mainstream sold 131,000 when released and peaked at No. 3, according to Billboard.com. Rob Thomas released two additional albums. His second album, Cradlesong, was released on June 26 of 2009. His most recent solo album was released as an EP on March 29 of 2010. It has a total of four songs including the recorded live version of “Someday” and “Soul Sick.”

Presale tickets for Matchbox Twenty’s North tour went on sale at 10 a.m. November13t to the members of the band’s fan club. Regular presale tickets went on sale on the following day, November 14. Matchbox Twenty tickets went on sale to the public on November 16.
