2012 American Idol winner Phillip Phillips has a busy fall ahead of him, with nearly 40 concert dates scheduled September-December. This announcement from the pop-rock/folk-rock singer and guitarist comes after a summer tour with O.A.R., a series that followed the release of his second album, Behind the Light, in May, which includes singles “Raging Fire” and “Unpack Your Heart”.

Before the official kickoff of the tour on Sept. 12, Phillips will be playing three additional shows, including Thursday in Waco, Texas, Saturday at the “Gatieneau Hot Air Balloon Festival,” and at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. The tour itself has an expansive list of cities, including somewhat unusual stops in Iowa, Kansas, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and West Virginia.
