The Latin Grammy awards are awarded to Latin artists for their extraordinary musical talent over the past year. This year, the 2014 Latin Grammy Awards will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Thursday, November 20 at 5pm eastern time, 4pm central time. The Spanish singer Juan Manuel Serrat will be the grand honoree of the night and will be named as the person of the year by Pablo Alborán. Juan Manuel Serrat is a composer who has been greatly influenced by poets including Mario Benedetti, Pablo Neruda and Federico García Lorca. His songs cover many genres from Spain, such as folklore, tango, ballads, boleros, and trova music.
Eugenio Derbez will return as the host of the ceremony and will be working with other presenters, including Alessandra Ambrosio, Jamie Camil, Maite Perroni, Niña Pastori, Debi Nova and Soledad Pastorutti.
