On Friday, Feld Motor Sports announced the schedule for the 2016 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series. The racing series will run from January 9th to May 7th and include stops in 17 cities. Tickets are already on sale for traditional season opener at Angel Stadium in Anahem, California. Tickets for the rest of the series go on sale. The Cross Club Pre-Sale begins today and the TicketMaster.com presale starts on Wednesday. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 AM local time. See below for a full list of confirmed dates.

For the first time, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts will play host to one round of competition. The April 23rd leg of the championship series marks expansion into East Coast markets for AMA Supercross, which has traditionally been more popular in the West. Foxborough has not hosted a Supercross event since 1990 which was held at the old Foxboro Stadium before it was demolished. University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona will also host one round of competition for the first time in venue history.

The 2015 AMA Supercross Championship came to an end this weekend at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Ryan Dungey was victorious in the last day of competition. This weekend’s victory capped an outstanding season for Dungey, who claimed the series 450 class championship earlier in the season.
