LOS ANGELES, CA (December 18, 2017) — The Los Angeles Football Club today announced a partnership with SeatGeek to make the company the Club’s official ticketing provider for its inaugural 2018 season. As part of the partnership, SeatGeek will serve as both the primary and secondary market ticketing partner for LAFC.

Through SeatGeek’s mobile-first platform, fans will be able to seamlessly buy, sell and transfer tickets to one another with just a few taps on their mobile device. SeatGeek’s features like Deal Score and interactive seat maps will make it easy for fans to access and explore tickets. LAFC fans will also use their mobile devices to scan their tickets when entering Banc of California Stadium.

“SeatGeek offers our fans and supporters a first-class ticketing experience,” said LAFC Owner and President Tom Penn. “They are our top priority, and SeatGeek will help make attending a match at Banc of California Stadium seamless, uncomplicated and efficient.”

LAFC will take advantage of the SeatGeek Enterprise platform, which introduces a cutting-edge approach in the world of ticketing. Through its open architecture, SeatGeek Enterprise allows LAFC to not only sell game tickets on team websites or through SeatGeek, but also via other team partners. Most recently, SeatGeek announced a distribution partnership with Facebook, allowing SeatGeek Enterprise clients to sell tickets directly through the social media platform.

“We’re thrilled to partner with LAFC as they bring a new brand of soccer to Los Angeles and MLS,” said SeatGeek co-founder Russ D’Souza. “LAFC’s goal is to revolutionize the way fans attend sporting events and we’re excited to be a fundamental component of that offering.”

LAFC is the fifth Major League Soccer club to partner with SeatGeek, joining Sporting Kansas City, Seattle Sounders, Portland Timbers and Minnesota United. In addition, SeatGeek serves as the Official Ticketing Partner of MLS. Last month, SeatGeek announced partnerships with the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans, its first ticketing partnerships in both the NFL and NBA. SeatGeek Enterprise serves as the ticketing platform for more than 500 clients across four continents. Partners range from sports teams and theaters to museums and major attractions.

“We are proud and excited to align with SeatGeek,” LAFC Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Jamie Guin said. “SeatGeek will provide a revolutionary and innovative way for our fans and supporters to enjoy more access to LAFC.”
