Blink-182 will be making their way to Las Vegas this summer as a part of the first-ever 16-date rock residency at the newly renovated Pearl Concert Theater, cleverly named after one of their hit tracks, “Kings of the Weekend.”

Live Nation and the Pearl Concert Theater invited the nominees to do a residency, and the Grammy-nominated pop-punk band was more than happy to accept.

“When the Palms asked us to do a residency here in Vegas, we said ‘Absolutely!'” blink-182’s Mark Hoppus said. He jokingly continued, “Now, we just have to cast our show girls, create our set list – a true throwback of Vegas classics with Sinatra, Liberace. Maybe we can even marry someone on stage…The possibilities in Vegas are endless.”

Beginning May 26, the band will perform at the theater eight separate weekends through late November, bringing 25 years worth of hit songs along with the band’s silly, creative antics.

blink-182 has been a staple in rock music over the years. Debuting in the early ’90s, the band started off with loud, heavy beats paired with fast-paced, catchy lyrics. It wasn’t until 1999 when Enema Of The State was released that they really hit the top charts with songs like “What’s My Age Again?” and “All The Small Things.” Their 2003 self-titled record, among with their five other albums, did well, but it wasn’t until 2016 that the band emerged yet again. After a five-year hiatus, blink-182 reunited fans with their seventh studio album, California.

California offered something new to their music; reuniting old fans with the same heavy percussion feel, and bringing forth new listeners with relatable, fun lyrics. “Bored To Death,” “She’s Out Of Her Mind,” and the rock residency title track, “Kings of the Weekend” simply added to their collection of hits. The comeback California Tour grossed more than $28 million from just the first 58 shows.

“blink-182 is one of those bands that crosses over multiple genres of music, and also transcends many generations of music lovers,” Palms Casino Resort General Manager Jon Gray said. “They’re a perfect fit for a true rock residency – our first at the Pearl.”

Tickets for blink-182’s Kings of the Weekend go on sale Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m. The renovated venue, which is west of the Las Vegas Strip, holds a capacity of 2,500. All shows begin at 9 p.m. Find the complete list of dates below.
