Rapper Cardi B cancelled her upcoming summer concerts, which all her fans expected, since she is due with Migos member Offset’s child sometime this July.
Although she showed off during her Coachella performance with insane dance moves and sang on “SNL,” it was clear that she had a little trouble breathing and had to take frequent breaks.
“Shawty keep growin’,” she said in an Instagram post. “I be looking like I be moving and everything but in reality, a bitch barely can breathe!”
Her final performance until her tour with Bruno Mars this September will be at this weekend’s Broccoli City Festival in Washington D.C. After this gig, the rest of her shows are cancelled, which includes dates in Texas, Florida, and Europe, as well as New York City’s Panorama Festival. She thanked her fans in a post for understanding, and promises she’ll be back in September.
The Bruno Mars’s ’24K Magic’ tour is set to kick-off on September 7 in Denver, Colorado and will run across the country and through Canada before wrapping up on October 27 in Los Angeles, California. Cardi B is Mars’s opening and highly-anticipated act, since her debut record, Invasion of Privacy, dropped earlier this month. The album features the hit single “Bodak Yellow,” along with tracks “I Like It” and “Be Careful.” Mars and Cardi B also recorded a remix together for the sassy, beat-driven single “Finesse” late last year.
