Firefly Music Festival, set to take place in Dover, Delaware this summer, parted ways with StubHub and announced TickPick as its third-party ticket vendor and official resale partner.
The festival, which will run June 14-17, will feature a TickPick “Will Call” booth, offering an allotment of face-value passes for entry. The New York-based secondary ticketing company launched in 2011, but is still an up-and-coming brand. It is competing with other well-known companies like StubHub and SeatGeek, however TickPick stands apart as it is a no-fee site. The difference between TickPick and Firefly’s former resale partner StubHub is that the company doesn’t charge buyers a transaction fee.
The company recently received a Technology Fast 500 Award last year as one of the fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy tech companies in North America, according to PR Newswire.
TickPick CEO and co-founder Brett Goldberg released the following statement:
“Our selection by Firefly Music Festival is a big deal for us. The modern millennial-aged consumer wants transparency and simple mobile transactions. We provide both. We do not charge buyer fees and explicitly state all-in pricing, so there are no surprises. Our users appreciate our approach, which allows them to get the festival, concert, or sports tickets they crave at a great price without any hassles.”
This year’s Firefly Music Festival will take place at Dover’s Woodlands. Headlining artists include Arctic Monkeys, Eminem, The Killers, and Kendrick Lamar — it will be the first time the festival has featured two headlining rappers. Other notable acts performing throughout the four-day run: Odesza, Logic, Lil Wayne, Vance Joy, Jimmy Eat World, Cold War Kids, and MGMT.
“TickPick has quickly become a go-to destination for sports and entertainment fans for event tickets,” Firefly Vice President of Sales and Marketing Scott Howard said. “We’re happy to have them onboard as a partner for this years festival and as another destination festivalgoers can trust for their event ticket purchases.”
