Scottish indie-rock band, Franz Ferdinand, will cross the U.S. this summer in support of their fifth studio album, Always Ascending.

After a show in Toronto, Ontario this Sunday, the U.S. tour will kick-off in Boston, Massachusetts on April 10. Band members Alex Kapranos, Bob Hardy, Paul Thomas and Julian Corrie will visit big cities like Washington D.C., New York City, Austin, Los Angeles, and St. Louis. Along the way, they’ll make stops at various music festivals around the world, including Montreal’s Oshega Festival,  Denmark’s Hurricane Festival, and England’s TRNSMT Festival. The band will also perform at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois on August 2. Nashville, Tennessee will close out the tour on August 14.

Always Ascending was released this past February via Domino Recording Company, and is the first non-collaborative album the band has released in over four years. Additionally, it is the first record with new member Corrie since the departure of keyboardist Nick McCarthy. The 10-track record features singles “Always Ascending,” “Feel The Love Go,” “Lazy Boy,” and “Glimpse of Love.”

Franz Ferdinand is best known for their catchy, bass-driven hit, “Take Me Out,” released off of their 2004 self-titled debut album. Their new record keeps their same indie tone with an additional electronic-feel.
