ZZ Top was forced to cancel his Northern Quest Resort and Casino concert this summer with Robert Cray due to an artist scheduling conflict.

The concert, originally scheduled for July 29, was a part of the eighth annual Pepsi Outdoor Summer Concert Series. The series features John Fogerty, Brad Paisley, Huey Lewis and the News, Joan Jett, Rascal Flatts, and more artists of various genres. There has been no announcement yet regarding the act that will replace ZZ Top.

However, the legendary rockers have many more shows on the horizon; they will begin touring this April in El Paso, Texas, and continue across the U.S. Then, on May 25, they will kick-off a month long “Blues And Bayous” tour with John Fogerty in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The tour will run throughout June, wrapping up in Welch, Minnesota on June 29.

Both artists are excited to work with one another, explaining that they’re going to toss a coin to see who is going to start and stop the show each night. ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons describes it as a “collaboration experience” for both the bands and the fans.

“I’ve been wanting to kind of hook up with Billy or ZZ for a long time,”  Fogerty said, according to antiMusic. “I think we’ve traded emails. I ran into him down somewhere and I was playing and Billy was playing the next night. I had him come into my show and we did ‘Sharp Dressed Man.’ It was a lot of fun. He sent me a couple of emails. I think he even gave me a CD or two that he labelled ‘Big Ol’ Blues.’ There was a whole bunch of great old songs on there. We’ve been trying for a while and it finally has fallen into place, which I’m delighted about.”

ZZ Top will also be playing additional dates from July to August on the west coast and in Canada. Check out the full list of tour dates below.
