The New Jersey natives and indie-rockers of The Gaslight Anthem have emerged after a three-year hiatus and are hitting the road for the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album, The ’59 Sound.

Currently, the rock band is on tour and just made stops in New York City twice – a show at the Bowery Ballroom and an appearance at Governors Ball. Later this summer, they will make stops in London at Eventim Apollo, as well as Dublin, Glasgow, and Manchester in the UK before hitting the Netherlands, Denmark, and Canada. The U.S. dates begin on August 11 in Chicago, followed by stops in Boston and Philadelphia before wrapping up on August 17 in Asbury Park, New Jersey. They will be joined by special guest Joe Sib.

The ’59 Sound, released in 2008, features hit tracks “The ’59 Sound” and “Great Expectations.” The Gaslight Anthem will perform the album in its entirety while on tour. In honor of this record, the band is working on a companion for the album, dubbed The ’59 Sound Sessions. The new record is due June 15 via SideOneDummy Records. Along with the new music is a 60-page booklet. In the booklet, band member Benny Horowitz explained that their journey has been “complex.”

“We were perpetually on the road and in a state of constant motion,” Horowitz said.  “I can’t think of a better time to try and create the most significant thing of your life when it was the most significant time of all our lives. I’m so happy to share this moment of our existence.”
