Last year, Ticket Summit unveiled its Workshops for Entrepreneurs, a series of workshops intended to give attendees hands-on instruction in issues facing small business owners, such as insurance issues, mergers & acquisitions, legal concerns, strategic planning, and more. The workshops were very popular and this summer, they’ll be returning to the Ticket Summit conference schedule!
The 2018 workshops are a mix of popular sessions from 2017 and new offerings for 2018. Returning workshops included Insurance for Ticket Brokers , led by Michael Simon of TixSurance, and Mergers & Acquisitions, led by executives from LionTree. Legal Concerns for Ticket Brokers will also return, though this year, the session will be led by two different legal experts: Ismail Amin from TALG on Tuesday, July 17 and Christopher Myers of Holland & Hart on Wednesday, July 18.
New workshops include Strategic Planning, Presented by SCORE on Tuesday, July 17 at 3 PM. In this session, Andrew Perla of SCORE Las Vegas will discuss how to best plan for your company’s future, no matter the size, in a fun, interactive workshop. On Wednesday, July 18 at 1:30 PM, executive coach Jay Fehnel of Johan Advisors will lead Focusing on What Matters for Your Success, an interactive workshop on how great leaders stand out by looking at their environment, their company, and themselves differently.
Two special events will also be held in the Workshop Room: a forum led by the Coalition for Ticket Fairness and a workshop on The Google Approach to Ticketing. Held on Tuesday, July 17 at 12:15 PM, the Coalition for Ticket Fairness forum will discuss legislative initiatives underway in New York. The discussion will include efforts to protect the free market laws and an open marketplace.
Held on Wednesday, July 18 at 11 AM, The Google Approach to Ticketing will be led by Mike Lorenc, Head of Industry—Ticketing, Sports & Live Events at Google. Lorenc will lead an interactive discussion of ticketing at Google, including recent policy changes and current trends.
