Metalcore band Beartooth dropped two singles this morning from their forthcoming third record, Disease, along with North America tour dates this fall.

The tour, set to kick-off on September 14 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, will hit cities like Toronto, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa, Sacramento, and Omaha. Columbus, Ohio will wrap-up the trek in the band’s home state on November 17. Throughout the tour, they will be joined by Knocked Loose and Skylar.

“Disease” and “Bad Listener” are the first singles the group released since 2016’s Aggressive. While they’re a little lighter than some of the band’s past work, the singles still contain Beartooth’s gritty, emotional nature.

“The album is a whirlwind of emotion,” frontman Caleb Shomo told Loudwire. “Crazy highs, crazy lows, and lots of intensity. This record isn’t about winning anything. It’s about trying to even begin to learn how to deal with things. It’s hard to process just how dark you can get, what you can really put yourself through with expectations. It’s like starting from the beginning all over again. At the end of the day, it is a very dark album.”

A lot of Shomo’s work has been known as intense and personal; the band’s 2014 debut record Disgusting features raucous anthems like “Beaten in Lips,” “In Between” and “The Lines,” along with the raw, ending track “Sick and Disgusting.” Shomo shared that this record delved into his anxiety and depression. Similarly, Aggressive shares tracks “Hated,” “Sick Of Me,” and another emotional song to end the LP, “King of Anything.”

“If I’m not into scaring myself or pissing myself off almost while I’m writing these songs… ” he told Alternative Press. “It’s like, ‘Dude, nobody needs to fuckin’ hear this. You know you don’t want to sing it, you know you don’t want anyone to hear it because it’s too personal.’ If I’m not doing that, I don’t think I’m doing Beartooth justice.”

Disease is due September 28 via Red Bull Records. Check out the full list of tour dates below.
