The pop-punkers of Blink-182 have released tour dates for a mini-tour this fall, in-between their ‘Kings of the Weekend’ residency at Las Vegas’ Palms Casino Resort.
Over the past few months, the band has played in Vegas, but many shows were postponed due to health complications with drummer Travis Barker. The musician was admitted to the hospital for blood clots in his arms, as well as a staph infection, and later was hospitalized again after being involved in a car crash with a bus.
“It’s been the longest 4 weeks without playing drums,” Barker said in an Instagram post earlier this month. “I played through two shows in Vegas with an infection and blood clots before I was able to get a clear diagnosis from the doctor.”
The mini-tour is set to kick-off on September 12 in Moorehead, Minnesota and will hit Illinois for Chicago’s Riot Fest, along with Ohio, Michigan, Ontario, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Iowa. The trek will wrap-up on September 25 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They will be joined by opening act State Champs on select dates.
“We are always stoked to get back on the road and play for our fans” Blink-182 said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to playing really fun shows for you all.”
This tour precedes their next round of dates in Vegas, set to resume on October 26.
Blink-182, known best for hits like “All The Small Things” and “What’s My Age Again?” from 1999’s Enema Of The State, returned to the music scene in 2016 with the smash-hit record California. Last year, they released a deluxe version of the LP with 11 new tracks, along with the live acoustic version of the single “Bored To Death.”
