Lady Gaga will join the list of great artists who have held a residency in Las Vegas with a massive trek later this year and throughout 2019 at the MGM Park Theater.
The popstar’s residency will be split into two shows. First, she will perform the “Lady Gaga Enigma” show, which is set to take place in late December and throughout next year in January, February, May, June, October, and November. “Lady Gaga Enigma” is described as “a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other.”
Her second round of dates, dubbed as “Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano,” will include just four shows that will feature “stripped-down versions of her hits as well as music from the Great American Songbook.” These shows will take place in 2019 on January 20, February 3, June 2, and June 9.
Gaga will follow in the footsteps of pop performers like Britney Spears, The Who, and Blink-182 who have held residencies recently. The star’s latest album, Joanne, was released in 2016 and featured hit singles “Perfect Illusion” and “Million Reasons.” Joanne followed her slew of top-selling albums, including her co-record with Tony Bennett, Cheek To Cheek, along with ARTPOP, Born This Way, The Fame Monster, and her debut The Fame.
Since 2008’s The Fame, the Grammy and Golden Globe winner has made a name for herself in the industry. She garnered attention by pushing boundaries with certain outfits and music videos, and released chart-topping hits like “Poker Face,” “Bad Romance,” “The Cure,” “Just Dance,” “LoveGame,” and “Paparazzi” — just to name a few. Her latest release is the single “Your Song,” which dropped earlier this year.
