The rockers of Saves The Day have taken a break from the music scene, but after five years, they’re back with a new record and cross-country tour.

Saves The Day have been active since their debut LP Can’t Slow Down in 1998, releasing multiple albums and hit tracks like 2001’s “At Your Funeral,” along with 1999’s “Shoulder to the Wheel” and “Holly, Hox Forget Me Not.” Their last piece of work, 2013’s self-titled LP, will be followed by their new record, 9, dropping on October 26 via Equal Vision Records.

Frontman Chris Conley described the album as a “story of Saves The Day and my own personal journey through life, which all unfolded as my relationship with music progressed.” The album’s lead single, “Rendezvous,” delves into the band’s reflection, from playing “basements and backyards” during their early days as a group.

“By ‘Rendezvous’, I’ve gone through all the reflecting and growing and come to a place where I’m so grateful and so satisfied and living the life I want to live,” Conley said in a statement. “I was just a kid that got lucky and I got pulled into this amazing dream. And it’s still going.”

Right after 9 is released, the group will head out on a North American tour, starting in Louisville, Kentucky on November 1. The trek will make stops in cities like Detroit, Brooklyn, Toronto, Baltimore, and Nashville before wrapping-up in Orlando, Florida on November 20. Throughout the run, they will be joined by songwriter Kevin Devine and Australian indie duo An Horse, varying per date.
